Terms of Service

1. What OneTrial is. OneTrial ("we", "us") provides an API and dashboard that scores new signups to a customer's ("you") service and returns a recommendation: allow, challenge, or deny a free trial. You decide what to do with that recommendation.

2. Accounts and workspaces. You need an account to use the dashboard. You are responsible for the API keys issued to your workspace; treat secret keys (ot_test_, ot_live_) as credentials. Rotate a key immediately if it is exposed.

3. Acceptable use. You may use OneTrial only to prevent abuse of free trials and similar promotional offers on services you operate. You may not use it to discriminate against protected classes, to build profiles unrelated to trial abuse, or to circumvent another service's terms. You must present any challenge to your end users honestly and give denied users a way to contact you.

4. Your end users' data. You send us signals about people who sign up for your service (email address, IP address, device hints, and, if you connect Stripe, a card fingerprint that is not a card number). You are responsible for having a lawful basis to do so and for disclosing OneTrial as a processor in your own privacy notice. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle that data.

5. Plans and billing. Plans are metered on decisions per calendar month. The Free plan stops answering at its cap. Paid plans continue and bill overage per 1,000 decisions. Fees are charged by Stripe on our behalf; you can change or cancel your plan at any time from the dashboard, effective at the end of the billing period.

6. Shadow mode and accuracy. New workspaces start in shadow mode, where the API returns allow while recording what it would have decided. Scores are probabilistic. We do not guarantee that any specific signup is or is not abusive, and you remain responsible for the decisions you enforce.

7. Availability. We aim for high availability but the service is provided as is during beta. Scale plans include a service-level commitment described in the order form.

8. Termination. You may delete your workspace at any time. We may suspend a workspace that violates section 3 after notice where practical.

9. Liability. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Changes. We will post changes here and, for material changes, email workspace owners at least 14 days in advance.
